HAUS DER MUSEUMS-GESELLSCHAFT

The "Haus der Museumsgesellschaft" in Ulm was converted, renovated and heightened in a process that also involved the addition of a coloured metal curtain facade, which acts as a filter layer in front of a glass facade for thermal insulation.

The metal curtain is formed by an aluminium lamella facade, which is separated from the glass by a gap of around 70cm. Motorized tilting and sliding elements are used to open the individual lamella sections in the facade.
