PEACE BRIDGE CALGARY

The Peace Bridge in Calgary will provide cyclists and pedestrians with a link between a popular residential area and the city centre. The star architect Santiago Calatrava has been commissioned with the design.

A special challenge is posed by the glass elements, as the roof glazing consists largely of curved triangles with rounded corners. Moreover, the balustrade will also have a curved shape.

GIG FASSADEN is to provide the glass roof of the bridge, the balustrade with stainless steel pedestal and the handrails.
