EXTENSION OF THE AEC

The guiding principle behind the design was the creation of a sculptural building with a structure that can be entered and thus experienced.

The existing Ars Electronica Center and its new extension have been linked to form a single unit that is perceived as an entity. The crystalline form creates both a homogenous ensemble with its surroundings and a landmark.
