JOHN CAMPBELL

"The main criteria of the "PEAK"-project were the massive engineering demands involved. The complete structure and all its elements have to withstand the extreme wind forces of the typhoons, which are typical of the Eastern Asian region. This prominent landmark of Hong Kong's skyline has been designed to resist theoretical wind tunnel assessed loads of 12kPa to 14.5kPa, some six times the strength of typical buildings designed to Europe. Due to these constraints there are only few international companies with the expertise and experience to meet these requirements."
