Bundespresseamt Berlin

Information in the best possible light.

The Berlin offices of the “German Federal Government Press and Information Bureau” are located in the former Berlin postal cheques office on the Dorotheenstrasse in the government quarter. A neighbouring, concrete slab office block from the GDR period, which was erected on the site of the Royal York Lodge building destroyed during world war two, was integrated into the postal office during renovation work at the end of the 1990s. The building borders on the River Spree at the rear (banks of the Reichstag) and the architectural ensemble is completed by a modern extension.
