Funicular Baku

Supporting structure made of steel and glass.

As part of the new construction of the funicular railway in Baku, Azerbaijan, we have made reality the new mountain and valley stations. The framework consists of a total of 816 different spatial nodes that were prefabricated and delivered with over a thousand rectangular hollow sections in 73 spatially curved part-elements. The shell was formed of about 2,000 different, oblique glass triangles.
