FAQs
1. What are the working hours like at GIG?
There are two different models. For production, we have a fixed daytime work model with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 06:00 AM to 03:00 PM, and Friday from 06:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
For employees, there is a flexible working hours model (flextime). This allows for very flexible working with the possibility to build up a time credit that can be used in hours, days, or weeks. The start time can be between 06:00 AM and 09:00 AM, and after 02:30 PM, flexible time off is possible. On Fridays, it starts as early as 11:30 AM. This ensures optimal work-life integration for everyone.
We don’t have company-wide vacation days – you can arrange your vacation time freely.
2. Is there a home office option and the possibility of working remotely?
GIG has a very open home office policy. We value excellent work results and reward them with excellent conditions. You can work from home whenever your supervisor approves it. The general conditions for this are very flexible and transparent.
3. Is there a dress code?
You can decide for yourself what clothing makes you feel most comfortable. For client meetings, we value long pants and closed shoes. Otherwise, you are free to dress according to your style and preferences. The motto is: Come as you are ;).
4. How does my onboarding phase go?
We make sure to stay in contact with you between the signing of the employment contract and your actual start date. On your first day, you’ll receive comprehensive information in a welcome meeting about company agreements, working hours, social benefits, and more. Additionally, we support your arrival with a specially tailored onboarding package for GIG. You will be assigned a mentor, and you will receive a monthly plan with all tasks for your first month. Ongoing feedback conversations will be held to ensure you are properly introduced to the company and your role.
5. What does my workspace at GIG look like?
Agile office workstations are standard at GIG – height-adjustable desks, ergonomic office chairs, laptops with docking stations or desktop PCs, at least two monitors, and a phone are part of the basic equipment. Each workstation is tailored to individual needs in consultation with our company doctor. In production, we also place great emphasis on ergonomic and health-promoting work conditions. We want to keep our highly trained employees with us for the long term.
At GIG, you are the center of attention as a colleague – we want to support you in a way that helps you perform at your best. Employee pension plans, flexible working hours, health programs, meal subsidies, employee events, and more – feel free to inspire us, and we can develop new offerings together.
6. How can I actively contribute to the company's development?
We place great value on the involvement of employees in shaping the company. In regular feedback meetings with your supervisor, all ideas can be communicated directly and openly. There is also the option to submit suggestions and ideas anonymously through our idea mailbox.
7. How is training and further education at GIG?
Your progress and achieving your personal goals are very important to us. We want to do everything we can to help you reach your goals. Training and development are essential to us. You will quickly get involved in our projects and, in doing so, will naturally receive a daily development boost. Additionally, you will be trained in external courses relevant to your daily work. Our internal development program offers a wide range of events in areas such as technology, IT/software, production, as well as language skills and personal development, all of which are a priority for us.
Furthermore, once a month, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at our Know-How Brunch and, at the same time, learn about the latest developments and exciting topics in facade construction.
And if nothing here quite fits your needs, we are open to your ideas on how we can support your career advancement.
We could be your colleagues.
