The first days in a new job can always feel a bit unfamiliar. But at GIG, no one is thrown in at the deep end! We take plenty of time to make sure you feel comfortable from day one.

The time until your start
To ensure you’re not overwhelmed with a flood of new information on your first day, we’ll stay in touch with you until then. You can reach out to us anytime with questions, and we’ll provide you with important information in advance to help you settle in smoothly. On your first day, everything will be ready for you—from an ergonomic workspace and IT equipment to a welcome package and team information. That way, you won’t have to spend your first moments setting up your desk or figuring out login details—you can simply arrive and feel at ease.
Our Mentorship Program
At the same time, you can actively contribute to team tasks right from the start! For your first month, a mentor from your team will be there to support you. All our mentors are trained for this role and know exactly what matters. Your mentor will assist you with informal questions and topics, help you get to know the team over shared lunches, and guide you as you gradually grow into our company culture.
Onboarding Plan & Events
To help you settle in smoothly, you’ll receive a personalized onboarding plan that outlines the activities for your first month. At GIG, onboarding is a process that takes time—and that’s exactly how it should be. That’s why we schedule regular feedback sessions during your first months to support your transition in the best way possible. We also host various monthly events where you can get to know your colleagues from your own and other departments. These events are all about fun and informal connections. Take your time and stop by – we’d love to see you there!

For anything you can’t figure out on your own, for anything that’s on your mind or that you’d like to discuss — we’re here for you. Our HR team will support you not only throughout your onboarding phase but beyond. We’re always available for any questions or suggestions you may have.
