Closed System, free Design Possibilities
An especially exciting topic in metal construction is the innovative Closed-Cavity-Façade (CCF). Also known as the closed cavity façade, it is a groundbreaking technology in the field of modern metal construction and architecture. This façade system is a crucial aspect for energy-efficient building use while simultaneously increasing room comfort.
Sophisticated Construction Full of Light and Air
The construction principle is based on a 2-shell element façade system consisting of interior insulating glazing and impact discs on the street side. The façade cavity is almost completely sealed and has no constructed openings inward or outward. To prevent condensation on the surfaces in this dense cavity under different weather conditions, this cavity is supplied with preconditioned dry air. The air supply is centralized using compressor air, and dry air is transported to the façade elements via vertical and horizontal distribution lines with slight overpressure.
In the conditioned façade cavity, there is space for sun protection systems, which are installed here under weather-protected conditions.
