Balchug Residence Moscow
Austrian Living Quality in Moscow
Moscow, the vibrant capital of Russia, is not only one of the largest metropolises in Europe but also a cultural and economic center of immense significance. The project is located in the heart of Moscow’s city center, directly opposite the historic Kremlin on the other side of the picturesque Moskva River, on Balchug Island. This privileged location promises not only a breathtaking view but also excellent connectivity to the city’s vibrant energy.
The residential complex, consisting of five buildings, is an impressive demonstration of modern architecture and urban living quality. A project of this magnitude requires close collaboration between various companies to ensure smooth execution. GIG was entrusted with the supply of 600 triple timber-aluminium windows from Internorm. Particular attention was paid to the clerestory windows, which were mostly constructed according to EI30 fire protection standard. The newly developed profile system from Internorm had to be tested and certified in both, Austria and Russia.
The architectural diversity of the project is complemented by French balconies, four rooflights, 17 shutters, and a timber-aluminium mullion-transom construction, which not only add aesthetic appeal but also meets the highest standards of functionality and safety.
