Funicular, Baku

Funicular, Baku

Supporting structure made of steel and glass.

As part of the new construction of the funicular railway in Baku, Azerbaijan, we have realized the mountain and valley station.

The framework consists of a total of 816 different spatial nodes which were prefabricated and delivered using over 1,000 rectangular hollow sections for 73 spatially curved sub-elements. The shell was formed of about 2,000 different oblique-angled glass triangles.
