One Park West, Liverpool
Paradise Street, Liverpool
Unitized Façade for a Commercial and Residential Complex in the City Centre.
The construction project was erected in the so-called Blue Coat Triangle, which borders the main commercial streets Lord Street, Church Street, Hanover Street, and Strand Street in Liverpool. The building, one of the most distinctive of the Paradise Projects, consists of three residential towers built on a commercial podium with a four-storey underground car park. The ground floor features shops, restaurants, and offices, with apartments above.
After GIG Fassaden successfully secured the façades for Site 15 in February 2006, the next major construction phase, Site 12, in Paradise Street Liverpool followed in March 2007. For GIG, this represents one of the largest orders in the history of GIG Fassaden. It is a highly prestigious commercial and residential construction project, for which GIG Fassaden was selected to manufacture, supply, and install sophisticated element façades. GIG Fassaden can look back on a long and successful collaboration with the client Laing O’Rourke, which ultimately secured the contract for quality and thus for GIG.
Upon completion, the “new” Paradise Street now forms the centerpiece of Liverpool city center. The entire Paradise Project includes the construction of more than 30 individual buildings, providing a total of approximately 1.65 million square metres of new commercial space, hotels, residential buildings, and leisure facilities.
